Once in Lake Stevens, turn north on Highway 9. Turn east on Highway 92 (the Mountain Loop Highway) and continue through Granite Falls. Turn left at North Alder Ave and continue about 13 miles until you reach the parking area for the Lake TwentyTwo trailhead on the right.

A group of us decided to make the trek up to Lake TwentyTwo off the Mountain Loop Highway on fine grey, drizzly June day. I hadn’t been up there in forever and it was great to explore the area once again.
