Despite the shittiness of 2020, I was able to have Despite the shittiness of 2020, I was able to have some grand adventures and make the best of it. 1. I was fortunate enough to get to Hawaii before the pandemic and visit @islander_ji and @meegsiz and their girls. I surfed for the first time (sort of) and tackled the Haiku Stairs 2. Once lockdown happened, I was still able to run and tried to keep a sense of humor about it. I’ve been working on running all the streets near me. 3. Speaking of running, I did a LOT of #trailventures with my trail bruh @adellario. With all our races canceled, we made our own routes in a never ending pursuit of epic mountain miles and balsamroot 4. I ran #sectionJ of the PCT with Tony, ending in spectacular disaster and valuable lessons. Still a little bitter about this, even tho we completed it. Makes for an excuse to do it again! 5. I finally did a one day summit of #GlacierPeak, 13 hours car to car solo in a soul cleansing ass kicking 6. I was chosen to be an ambassador for one of my favorite running gear brands @pathprojects! Super stoked to be on the #pathprojectskrew and rep their gear in the coming year! 7. I bought a van and have been converting it into an adventure mobile. I drove to Virginia from Seattle to get started on a new tattoo and visited 26 states on my solo journey. I saw a lot of the US and gained an appreciation for our different regions and the unique beauty each state has. Except Kansas. #KansasSucks 8. My little guy #Kirintheshibainu continues to be my life adventure buddy 🐕 9. Finished out the year with a trip to #DeathValley and got to experience a full moon over #racetrackplaya. I climbed, I trail ran, and I mountain biked and I can’t wait to go back. Missed the weather window on Telescope Peak and broke trail through fresh powder all the way to the highest point in Death Valley - 11,048’. Where did you #optoutside this past weekend? I cho Where did you #optoutside this past weekend? I chose to explore #centraloregon and do a modified #runtherock course that took me high above #smithrockstatepark. Such a beautiful route with some nice vert up to Gray Butte with a flowy descent on the Cole Loop trail. Hoofed it on over to Smith Rock and got to watch some climbers tackle pitches as I scrambled over Asterisk Pass. Lotsa damp trail on our recent adventure. Had plan Lotsa damp trail on our recent adventure. Had planned on heading up to a couple of alpine lakes but the snow level had other plans. Not wanting to posthole and trail-break for miles we opted to head back down into the valley and run the river trail.
